A Faster Surfacing Bit for your CNC Router (ULTRA-CLEAN CUTTING)

If you are wondering what a surfacing bit is for, it is a wide bit designed for your CNC router to surface your spoilboard or flatten slabs.

Surfacing bits are a necessity to have because a spoilboard, or wasteboard, must be flattened before you start making CNC router projects. The standard surfacing bit for CNC routers is the 1-inch surfacing bit. These work great but can take a bit of time. The IDC Woodcraft 1-1/2 inch surfacing bit will cut the surfacing time by at least half simply due to the wider body.

There are no other 1-1/2 surfacing bits designed for benchtop CNc routers such ast the Longmill MK2 or Shapeoko, Millwright and others.
